NEWP Products FAQ

Get answers to our most frequently asked questions about our standard and custom milled wood products

How long will it take to receive my order?

Orders generally take 2-3 weeks for delivery. However, processing and shipment times may vary depending on factors including:

  • Type of products ordered
  • Whether material is in stock or must by acquired
  • Size of your order

Is there a Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

In stock items have an MOQ of 8 linear feet. We will not process any custom orders under 20 square feet or 20 linear feet.

Is the wood kiln dried?

Yes. All of our wood is kiln dried or air dried to a moisture level of 6% or less.

Where is the wood sourced from?

We source our hardwoods from Pennsylvania and our softwoods come from both Pennsylvania and New York.

Do you sell anything pre-finished?

No. All of our material is sold unfinished. Mouldings are stain/paint ready. Floors may require a final sanding before finishing.

Can you replicate architectural mouldings?

Yes we can, using custom knives cut to create an exact match.

Do you stock any finished products?

We do stock some mouldings and rails. Contact us for more information.

Do you deliver?

We will deliver larger orders locally (within 30 miles of Rome, PA) for a $150 fee. Contact us for details.

Do you have a list of builders and/or contractors that use your products?

Yes - Please visit our Resources Page for a list.

What is the difference between random widths and single plank widths?

Random widths not only create a very natural look and feel, but they help us maximize the wood usage and are typically more cost effective because of this. When working with random widths, you will want to install them in a truly random pattern because you will not receive exact lineal footage of each width. Rest assured, you will receive enough of each width to achieve the natural look and feel that you are going for. Our team of experts carefully compile each and every box of flooring.

While we are more than happy to accommodate all our single plank width orders, we like to inform our customers that there is added cost in doing so. You may be wondering why this is. Single plank widths can be challenging to produce with certain wood stocks when it comes to their availability. For example, making a 6” wide plank when your stock is 6”, 7” and 8” wide, creates a considerable amount of waste. This ultimately adds cost to the finished product, does not add value and is less environmentally friendly than going with random widths.
